Salt Therapy

Halotherapy, or breathing in of salt vapor, takes the healing properties of salt into the respiratory system. Dry salt therapy is like a natural detoxification for your airways and skin to promote optimal health and wellness.

When you heat salt, it becomes super dry, and kinetically more active. This heated and dry pure sodium chloride is crushed into micro-sized particles and dispersed into the air. When micro-particles of dry salt is inhaled into the respiratory system, it absorbs and removes all the allergens, toxins and foreign substances in your lungs and throughout your respiratory tract.

Listening to soothing music and feeling it resonate throughout the body stimulates the body’s natural relaxation response. This is why The Sauna Haus combines salt therapy with Acoustic Resonance Therapy. The healing effects of sound and vibration harmonize all systems of the body bringing you to a deeper state of relaxation. It feels like a light touch massage during your salt therapy session.

Salt Room Etiquette

On your first visit, arrive 15 minutes early. For all other visits, please arrive 10 minutes early for your scheduled appointment.

• In order to maintain the sterile environment in the Salt Room, food or drinks are not allowed inside.
• If you use an inhaler, please be sure to bring it with you.
• Please leave your personal belongings in the locker area.
• Ringers must be turned off while being stored.
• The Sauna Haus is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.
• Sessions begin promptly on the hour and on the half hour.
• Please wear comfortable clothing. If you are here for a skin condition, we suggest tank tops and shorts.
• You will be asked to remove your footwear. Shoes or bare feet are not permitted during the session. Socks are provided and must be worn in the salt room.
• Please refrain from using/wearing any perfumes, lotions, oils, fragrances, etc. They will interfere with the therapy.
• Please be respectful of others by not talking while sessions are being enjoyed.
• Once a session begins, no one will be allowed to enter or exit the salt therapy room. Do not exit the salt therapy rooms once a session has started, unless it is a true emergency.
